Rebecca’s journey in the beauty industry began humbly as a Saturday assistant at the age of 14. This grassroots beginning laid the foundation for her exceptional customer care skills and ignited her passion for the field. Rebecca pursued formal education in Beauty Therapy in Skipton and subsequently in Manchester, where she achieved accolades such as “Beauty Therapist of the Year” and “Top Guinot Girl”, owing to outstanding examination results.

Throughout her career, Rebecca’s passion for the industry has been unwavering, matched only by her genuine joy in making people feel better. After gaining valuable experience working in various salons for several years, she took the leap and opened her own salon, “Body Beautiful”, in Haworth. It was an incredibly rewarding experience, and Rebecca cherished every moment spent there, building an exceptional client base.

Eventually, Rebecca’s journey led her to a new chapter as she embarked on the beautiful journey of motherhood, prompting her departure from the salon. However, her passion for beauty therapy never waned. She later returned to academic pursuits and obtained her teaching certificate, teaching beauty therapy for a brief period. This experience not only enhanced her teaching skills but also allowed her to impart her knowledge to both students and clients she treated.

As her children matured, Rebecca felt a pull back to the career she had always cherished, leading to the birth of Slade Barn Retreat in 2022. Opting to work from a therapy room at home was a decision influenced by the therapeutic benefits she derives from the natural beauty of her incredibly fortunate living environment. Rebecca’s years of experience in beauty therapy, coupled with life’s lessons, merge seamlessly with the tranquil surroundings, culminating in a truly unique and rejuvenating experience for her clients.
